href=\"http:\/\/www.aquaventuras.com\/generalinfo\/general-info-park.asp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Aquaventuras Water Park<\/a><\/span><span class=\"Apple-style-span\">\u00a0in Nuevo Vallarta, I\u2019d stare whimsically at the twisty, colorful slides and reminise about my childhood. \u00a0We had a huge, 100 acre water park near where I grew up and every summer we\u2019d escape the heat by slippin\u2019 and slidin\u2019 down the rides.\u00a0 \u00a0So when we recently had some friends with kids come to stay with us at the hotel, the water park was #1 on the To-Do list. \u00a0Kids are the perfect excuse to for us to \u201cresearch\u201d the fun activities throughout the area!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-151\" src=\"https:\/\/laquintadelsol.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/blog3-1-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/laquintadelsol.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/blog3-1-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/laquintadelsol.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/blog3-1.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-152\" src=\"https:\/\/laquintadelsol.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/blog3-2-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" (max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Now I will start off by saying that there were several things about this water park that were a little sub par but, at the end of the day, we all, especially the kids, had a really fun time so these were just minor details.<\/p>\n<p>First of all, on the day we went several of the slides were out of commission. \u00a0We were told that this was because some of the slides are duplicates of others so, because it was low season, they shut them down since there were less customers. \u00a0This seemed reasonable enough.<\/p>\n<p>Secondly, the park was a bit worn and could have definitely used some touch ups. \u00a0Since we\u2019re mostly talking about aesthetics here, I wasn\u2019t too concerned.<\/p>\n<p>Third, some of the rides required an inner tube to ride, but you need to rent the inner tube and they charge you a daily rental fee (on top of the admissions fee). \u00a0We weren\u2019t so concerned about the cost but it was annoying\u2026since only a few rides required the tube, what does one do with the tube when not using it? \u00a0We just ended up stacking ours in a pile and leaving them to the side for hours at a time.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-154\" src=\"https:\/\/laquintadelsol.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/blog3-3-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/laquintadelsol.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/blog3-3-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/laquintadelsol.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/blog3-3.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-155\" (max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The park is a 35 min drive from the hotel in Nuevo Vallarta and has 10 different slides to choose from, a lazy river and a kid\u2019s area. \u00a0The kids were pretty nervous about the bigger rides, so they just played in the children\u2019s area for the first hour or so. \u00a0It was fun, though, to watch them start to get bolder and bolder, and eventually we couldn\u2019t get them off the \u201cbig kids\u201d slides. \u00a0The adults had a hard time getting off the \u201cbig kids\u201d slides, too. \u00a0All in all, it was a great way to spend the day, cool off from the heat and have fun with the kids.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-157\"
